MA Admission Guidelines

  • Entry to the programme is open to graduates who have achieved at least a 2.2 honours degree.
  • All applicants to the programme can apply for module exemptions of up to 15 ECTS through “Evidence of Professional Practice/ Recognised Prior Learning”. These exemptions can be achieved through evidence of professional practice by providing a personal statement and attendance at an interview.
  • Some module exemptions are available for all successful graduates of the DIT Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Third Level Learning and Teaching.
  • The MA in Higher Education is open to a wide range of professionals in an academic (further and higher) education or a public or private sector training context.

If you are a DIT staff member, i.e. with current staff number, you may be eligible for a DIT Staff Fee Waiver. Please read the DIT Fee Waiver Policy and complete the associated Fee Waiver Application Form‌ if applicable.
